Prenatal Yoga
An Ashtanga based yoga class that has been customized to suit the pregnant body.  Enjoy an active yoga practice and connect with other moms-to-be in the area.
The class is suitable for women from 13 – 40+ weeks pregnant.
NO previous yoga experience is required.
Lessons will include:
– Yogic and birth breathing
– Strengthening all over including birthing muscles
– Deep relaxation & visualisation techniques, which may be useful throughout pregnancy & labour
Some benefits of prenatal yoga may include:
– Decreased stress and anxiety
– Quicker postpartum recovery
– Improved pregnancy posture

Carrie’s classes are a perfect blend of physical and mental support for the body during pregnancy. As each week in pregnancy brings new sensations as well as new (and sometimes unexpected) aches and pains, I have found the yoga practices Carrie takes us through each week a great way of understanding and dealing with the changes to my body gently. Carrie’s explanations about how each pose helps the body during pregnancy gives you a great feeling of security that this exercise is entirely safe, and in fact completely beneficial  for you and your baby. The yoga breathing exercises that we do, and focus that Carrie helps you to bring to the mat for that hour every week has been a fantastic way to relax the mind when pregnant. Carrie’s prenatal classes have been a great physical and mental support throughout the past 9 months, which I would recommend wholeheartedly. As I get ready for my baby’s arrival, I’m already looking forward to coming to the postnatal class!
